Titanium Anchor Bolts for Marine Concrete Fastening

Q: I have a need for a marine resistant fastener that I can use to fasten equipment to concrete. Is there a bolt you can recommend?

A: For concrete fastening one of the best solutions is a wedge anchor bolt. This style of bolt features an expansion mechanism which expands as the bolt is screwed in locking it permanently in place. Regarding your need for a bolt that can withstand a saltwater environment, you may want to use Titanium. Titanium anchor bolts are one of the most corrosion resistant materials when it comes to salt water – able to protect from both slow and rapid moving seawater up to a mile deep. Duplex 2205 bolts may also be a good choice for a saltwater environment like seaspray or salt air.
