Inconel vs Hastelloy for High Strength Corrosion

Q: Can Hastelloy bolts provide high strength?

A: Hastelloy C276 bolts can provide about 107ksi of strength. They are typically used for high temperature corrosion resistance. For corrosive applications where higher strength is needed, you may also want to consider Inconel 625. Inconel 625 bolts offer 144ksi of strength and are also very corrosion resistant to acids, – only slightly less so than Hastelloy in most environments.
