Inconel 625 Bolt for High Temperature Chemical Processing

Q: I need a bolt that can handle a chemical processing situation where there are not only corrosive chemicals but also high temperatures that can fluctuate. Max temp is around 1200F. What would you suggest?

A: Not knowing the chemicals you are using makes it tough, but for high temperature corrosive environments Inconel 625 bolts may be a good fit. They are usable to about 1800F and can handle many chemicals. If you are exposing these bolts to strong oxidizers, high acid acid concentrations or hydrofluoric acid, let me know because we’ll need to re-evaluate the material because Inconel 625 may not be the right fit.
