Which is Best? Inconel or Titanium

Q: Is Inconel better than titanium?
A: Inconel and titanium bolts are completely different classes of materials. Inconel bolts are known for their high temperature and high strength properties. Inconel 600, 625 and 718 are considered nickel alloys and are inherently very corrosion resistant to strong acid media.
Titanium screws are known for their superior strength to weight ratio. Grade 5 offers 4x the strength of 300 series stainless steel at nearly half the weight (grade 2x the strength at half the weight).   Grade 5 titanium will be 2x’s stronger than Grade 2 – making them even stronger than Inconel 625. Titanium screws also exhibit good corrosion resistant properties in saltwater and chloride environments and have good biocompatibility which is critical to the medical industry.
Inconel 625 and 718, as well as titanium grade 5 are all known for high strength. Inconel 718 bolts will provide the highest strength, minimum tensile strength around 185 ksi UTS, were as Inconel 625 and Grade 5 titanium are pretty similar in strength: Titanium Grade 5 with a typical 148ksi UTS and 138ksi yield whereas Inconel 625 bolts offer a typical 144ksi UTS, but only 84ksi yield.
