Lowest Gasket Tightness Requirements

Q: I cannot obtain an adequate seal with my existing metallic gaskets because my current flange and fastener maximum yield strengths will be exceeded. Any suggestions?

A: JP/JG gaskets, with their unique design, offer and low tightening requirement across the surface of the gasket face in order to obtain extremely low leak rates compared to other metallic gaskets. With some applications, when designing piping systems for new processes, a lower pressure class flanges and gaskets can be used as well with the Revoseal JP/JG gaskets.

Hastelloy Gasket for Sulfuric Acid

Q: I have a highly corrosive sulfuric acid application that I need a gasket for a Hastelloy flange. Can you tell me which style gasket would work best?
A: The JP/JG gasket would be the best for your application. Because it can be made from specialty alloys like the Hastelloy alloy grades coupled with PTFE or Graphite sealing materials makes it ideal for highly corrosive applications. The JG/JP gasket design also offers the lowest leak rate available to industry at about 15000x better than a spiral wound gasket.(link to graph)
