- Exceptional temperature resistance up to 2100°C (3800°F)
- Outstanding corrosion resistance to acids, solvents, salts, and organics
- Excellent electrical & thermal insulator
- High purity
- Ceramic zirconia hex head bolt features and benefits
Zirconia ceramic hex head bolts are the most thermally resistant bolts available. Due to their outstanding thermal resiustance, zirconia ceramic bolts are geared for the most demanding high temperature applications. Zirconia ceramic bolts also have outstanding corrosion resistance and are highly chemically resistant to acids, solvents, and salts. Additionally, zirconia hex head bolts find many uses in high voltage applications due to their non-conductive electrical properties.
Zirconia hex head bolts are available in both metric and standard sizes. Please contact us if you have any questions about the properties or availability of our ceramic bolts.
Hex head bolts made from customer specified ceramic grades or custom dimensions are available upon request.
Bolt Types Availabe: Hex Bolts
It is important to differentiate between a zirconia hex head bolt and hex head cap screw. Often people assume they are the same, but they are actually very different fasteners in terms of how they are manufactured, as well as from an application perspective. Regardless of your choice, zirconia hex heads offer strong, stable joints because of their large head service.

Common Ceramic Grades
Zirconia ceramic or Zirconium Oxide (ZrO2) is one of the most temperture stable materials available having a usable temperature range up to 3812°F (2100°C) and melting point at 4900°F (2700°C). This material is stabelized with yittria to prevent cracking and therefore designated as Yittria Stabilized Zirconia (YSZ). This grade is stronger, tougher and more thermally resistant than alumina.
Other grades are available upon request.
